A great variety of “things to do” are waiting to be found in Robin Hoods Bay and the surrounding towns and area.
Whitby is 5 miles away by road with plenty of shops, museums, bars & pubs and much more. Beyond Whitby is the lovely village of Sandsend, home to Raithwaite Hall with its delightful spa
where you can relax and enjoy the treatments and a pool.
Scarborough is a 30 minute drive in the opposite direction. Scarborough is a delightful, typical sea side town with all the attractions and amenities.
Ravenscar has an interesting tourist office with the history of the Alum mines relayed in there, be sure to look it up, very interesting!
All along the coast and inland there are some fantastic walks and interesting things to see. I have left details of these in the Cottage for you to browse through and see which grabs your
interest.
Good or bad weather there is always something to do.
Explore the beach, the fossil cliffs, go crabbing, the list is endless.
